I dont understand how to setup tracking. 

Tutorials online only seem to show how to create the page where you type in the order number to track it. How do i actually create the tracking number? Do I need to use an app?

hi@Ant10 the tracking number will be provided by the shipping carrier that you are using to ship your products like UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc. After getting the tracking number, you need to add the tracking number to the Shopify order so that it gets saved with the order details. This way once the orders are marked Fulfilled, the same tracking number will be sent to the customers via email. 

 

You can use our Multi-Carrier Shipping Label application to print shipping labels and the app will automatically get the tracking number from the carrier and add it to the Shopify orders. Moreover, you can use the app's tracking dashboard to track the shipments in real-time. For some carriers, the application will also send live tracking notifications to the customers.
