Transfer development site to an existing account?

Hello,

I am building a new website for a client, who has an existing Shopify store, but I am wondering what the best way to build a new one is?

I have read you can transfer ownership of the dev store within your partner account here:

However it always seems to state that whoever you transfer it to needs to create a NEW account.

Does this mean it can't be transferred to an existing account? What happens if you put in information that matches their current account?

Thank you for reaching out! Yes, you can enter in the new owners information (even if they currently have an account) and transfer the store to them.
