Dear Community,

I’m facing an issue with translation in my store. Initially, I set up my store in the default English language and began translating it into Hungarian within the theme code. Later, I discovered that I could change the default language to Hungarian, so I did. However, after making this change, the strings I had already translated either disappeared from the site or are displayed incorrectly. I attempted to delete the languages and start over, but I was unable to do so. Is there any way to revert to the original settings and begin again?

Hi @kabummmm 👋 you can try either instaling a new copy of the theme from the theme store, or a theme rollback

 

If you install a new copy either just use that copy or try to transplant the relevant locale files from the new donor theme to the current theme being worked on.

 

Theme rollback,

First backup the current themes state either with a duplicate or export, 💣 be sure to name things sanely to keep track of which theme is which.

Then look through the locale files, ex:
