Two options for the same item but different quantity

Two options for the same item but different quantity

How do I make it so that I have two options for example (Buy one Cup for 5 or buy two for 😎

But having the inventory know it is the same product therefore if theres is 4 in inventory it can allow buying of 4 if its the option with one and 2 for the option that it is 2 units).

Without using a discount because i want customers to see the price for 2 items directly in the product page.

Please help!

For all plans that's handled with sync apps, plenty on the app store

There's also automation apps like usemechanic which have pay what you want pricing to keep things in sync

https://tasks.mechanic.dev/?q=sync

The free shopify flow is available for advanced shopify plans and higher plans.

So part of this could be handled in the flow- app with the add-order-line-item action

💣 keeping in mind if the item is mean to not add a cost it's price must be $0.

So you'd actually end up needing 3 items to coordinate:

  • the bundle
  • 1 not in the bundle published at regular price
  • 1 not in the bundle unpublished at $0 price.

So there would be different flows:

  1. a workflow when an order is created to use to add-order-line-item action.
  2. another that  workflow when inventory changes to reconcile non-bundle inventory
  3. another workflow that sets bundle inventory based on it's component products inventory.
  4. another to validate order & fulfillment so free items are not being given away.
  5. another to make sure the $0 product never gets accidently published

Or more advanced use the send-http-action to one-way interact with the api

Hi

Another solution is to use a backend driven bundle app. Theme based bundle apps use discount codes in checkout whereas a backend driven app allows you to set the price of your bundles. There are 2 parts to managing inventory of bundles. The stock available of the bundles based on components and updating stock levels after a bundle sells.

Our bundle app has 2 main features that solves these issues.

1. Bundle Inventory

Bundleup lets you connect up your bundled product to components and it then updates the inventory based on the component stock level. So when a component product stock level gets updated the bundle also updates based on what can be made up.

2. Order Fulfilment

When you sell one of the bundles the stock level won't reduce automatically. What Bundleup does is update the order post purchase by replacing the order line with the component SKUs as order lines which then reduces stock of the components and that feeds into point 1 above.

We also offer a bulk csv file upload option so it is quicker to map all variants rather than doing them one by one in admin. This is handy when you are dealing with lots of variants and need a quick way of uploading and managing.
