Unable to access Shopify support chat

We are looking into switching our store from Squarespace over to Shopify.

I had some questions regarding the transfer and plans that weren't answered via the support center and need some additional assistance.

Upon checking, there seems to be multiple users that have unanswered support questions ranging from "simple" all the way to even money issues and that concerns me.

Is this an issue for anyone?

And if not, how do I get ahold of support?

Tried clearing my cache, restarting my Mac, and jumping through all the hoops and ladders requested to do so and just can't seem to get past the error message of "Internal Service Error" after logging in.

great question! I also popped in to try to get a support question answered, and now there only appears to be the option to get a Bot to answer your Q. I cant even find the option to submit a ticket via email. Shopify used to have such tremendous customer service! what in the heck happened???

Hey!!

I finally was able to get to a chat agent and they were actually very helpful!

There seems to be a glitch in their system somewhere but once I figured out why I couldn't access chat, everything worked great.

Here's what I did:

- after about an hour of searching within the community, found a thread with a similar question/issue and someone who worked for Shopify included this link: Support Page

- once I clicked on the link, I was directed to re-enter my name (multiple times) and finally was then able to be directed to the support page and able to access the chat.

The glitch seems to be in this area. There shouldn't be so many "loopholes" to get the correct information that's required to access chat. I've already provided them feedback on this, hopefully after all the other people's issues as well, they get it fixed!
