Unable to connect Google Merchant Center to Shopify Account

Unable to connect my Google Merchant Account to Shopify. No matter what I do it gives me the error "Your domain is already claimed by a different account. Click below to transfer the domain claim." The "Transfer my domain" button does nothing. I've seen others on here have this issue and it has never been resolved. Please help, extremely frustrating.

This issue occurs when your domain is linked to another Google Merchant Center account.

If you have access log into the old Merchant Center account, go to Business Information > Website, and Unclaim the domain.

Don’t have access Click Transfer my domain button and follow the steps. Google may ask you to verify ownership via Google Search Console.

This issue happens when your domain is already associated with another GMC account. You can re-check to see if your domain is claimed elsewhere (Settings > Business Information > Website)

If yes, then you need to remove it from the previous account and: Go to Business Information > Website > Click Unclaim website.

After all, you can verify the ownership again.

How many GMC accounts do you have? 1 Person should only have 1 account, before you proceed, first check what accounts you have.

Then, determine which your second account is and close it down, as you should only have 1, use the first one only.

Then use that original 1st account and link to Shopify.
