- Okay so we have like 10000 SKU's, they are just OEM numbers not like 'prefix-supplier number' just OEM numbers.
We have 760000 'new' SKU's to import (they have descriptions, weight price and product tags etc.)
the 'problem' is that the 760000 will include the 10000 skus already in unleashed so there will be duplicates so they wont upload as unleashed ignores duplicates.
We then want to make any product that has an aftermarket option of a new SKU number/Variation of the OEM number, for example 'AL159594' is genuine part in our system but it has aftermarket options, we want two SKU's going forward AL159594 (Genuine) and AEP-AL159594* (Aftermarket) (*AEP is our company acronym lol)
So as this is soul destroying I need help please!
In a way I wouldnt mind just going through the Sku's / product numbers and manually changing them to a AEP- Variation or a genuine only SKU but you cannot change the SKU in unleashed, its greyed out. So if I export the products like the attached file and change the SKU etc. like add AEP- infront of a SKU, what does it do, does it add upload a new product and keep the old? when I reimport it?
I just had a thought, perhaps its easier to delete everything (unfortunately lose a bit of data) then grab my 760000 SKUS that have just the OEM number as the SKU (the genuine) duplicate them but add AEP- Infront of them, then I upload all those product lines back into unleashed but (somehow) mark the AEP- variation has not sellable so that way they dont appear on shopify till I am ready to say yes that is an aftermarket part and actually has a aftermarket option (as there will be many products they are only available genuine and wont need the AEP- variation) so I would like them hidden till we confirm the preferred supplier etc.
do you guys have any suggestions on how to handle this?
So so so very confusing I know, I wish this was easier but I just dont see how...
Can you make only the products that are marked as sellable transfer to your e-commerce store (shopify) the rest will stay in unleashed?
Then I would go to an aftermarket supplier grab their parts list and then match them to the AEP-SKU/part which would then hopefully make that product to a 'sellable product' (or I can make it sellable at the same time in bulk edit?)
or perhaps it easier to make shopify the master and then make a variate of each product which would then make a SKU in unleashed correct? perhaps thats the way to go as unleashed doesnt do variates.....
So sorry for all of this lol why is this so hard!
