but somehow the conversion rate is really really bad and I am wondering if the changes I did have some impact on that?
here is the conversion rate from middle of october with TikTok Ads
here is the conversion rate from today:
what could be the issue here? the 2 orders today were not even from the TikTok Ad but recurring customers
I also had 0 canceled checkouts which is really weird
Hey,
If you're experiencing an unusually low conversion rate on your Shopify site, there are several effective strategies to address the issue and boost your sales. Here’s how you can improve things:
Improve Website Speed: Ensure your site loads quickly, especially on mobile. A slow site can drive customers away. Use Google PageSpeed Insights to test your speed.
Consider using a speed optimization app like Website Speedy for Shopify to compress images, minify scripts, and boost performance. It’s quick to set up—just about 5 minutes—and comes with a 14-day free trial.
You can install it here: https://apps.shopify.com/website-speedy
Increase Trust and Credibility: Positive reviews and testimonials can greatly influence purchasing decisions. Make sure to prominently display them on your product pages to build customer confidence.
Highlight Promotions: If you’re running any sales or special offers, make sure they’re clearly visible and easy for customers to find on your website.
Address Cart Abandonment: Use Shopify's built-in abandoned cart recovery emails to reach out to customers who left items in their carts without completing their purchase.
Heatmaps & Analytics: Use tools like Hotjar or Google Analytics to track user behavior on your site. These tools show you exactly where visitors are getting stuck or leaving, helping you identify problem areas. With this insight, you can make adjustments to improve the user experience, keep visitors engaged, and ultimately increase your conversions.
Target the Right Audience: Make sure your marketing campaigns are reaching the right people. Use Google Analytics to track visitor behavior and adjust your marketing efforts accordingly to improve engagement.
I understand your concern. While CSS changes can impact the user experience, it's best to directly compare your conversion rate before and after the changes. This will give you a clear picture of whether the CSS adjustments are causing a significant drop.
It's crucial to understand how different factors affect your conversion rate.
How CSS Could Affect Conversions:
Visual Appeal: CSS changes, such as font sizes, colors, button placements, or layout changes, can impact how appealing and user-friendly your site looks. Poorly executed changes can make the site harder to navigate, reducing conversions.
Mobile Optimization: If CSS changes aren’t optimized for mobile devices, you could see a drop in conversions from mobile users.
Why CSS Changes Might Affect Conversions:
Loading Time: If the CSS changes involved adding large images, scripts, or animations, it could slow down the page load time, which negatively impacts conversion rates.
Broken Layouts: Sometimes, CSS changes can break the layout, especially if they are not tested across different devices and screen sizes. This can create a frustrating user experience that leads to higher bounce rates.
