UPDATE: SHOPIFY STORE SHUT DOWN FOR 40 DAYS!

I am writing another post because my first post never had a single shopify staff member reply to my post. Anyways, today marks the 40th day since my Shopify store has been shut down. However, after talking to another advisor I learned that the documents I submitted that they requested are good and that my account was closed to "protect" the account.

What the advisor said:

"the main reason in cancelling the account is because this is to ensure the safety of the account.

It seems that the system has detected some issues that could harm the account and so it will need to be closed to protect your account for future permanent harm."

The advisor went on to say how the "experts" are now checking on my case and working to make sure this gets settled.

It has been 8 days since he said this and an advisor I just spoke to said the status on my case has NOT changed at all. Has anyone else dealt with this and when can this be resolved? Does Shopify Staff even read discussion posts? How has my store been closed for 40 days. I believe this is a world record if you ask me.

Same thing happened to me the other day, I did some extensive research and the reason they shut down new stores is to compensate for their weak KYC/KYB. Instead of actually fixing the issue they will pick a period of time to just shutdown random new stores, and they only shut down your store after you've poured your heart and soul designing it, almost like it's deliberate.

If you received and email explaining why your store was shut down, you have a small chance of getting it back. If they send no email you have no chance of getting it back. Keep in mind these unethical practices are from a Canadian company that generates billions every year, if you're looking for a platform to run your business this would be the absolute last place I would look now knowing what I know.
