Upload file to customer's order post purchase for order history preview

Hi,

I've been looking for an app to achieve the following: I want to be able to upload a file (or add a link to a file) on the customer's order so that they can preview this image through the customer panel. This will be used so my customer can see what their previous orders looked like to make it easy to reorder. All my orders have a file attached to them as I have a print-on-demand shop so every order has an image. Customers upload their files on my product page but a growing amount are reordering so I want to make it easier for them to see what the previous files looked like and be able to reference them.

Has anyone seen an app that does this or can the customer page be modified to display either a new file uploaded or the original file uploaded?

You're right, the default Shopify functionality doesn't allow customers to view uploaded files from previous orders within the customer panel. However, there are a couple of ways to achieve your goal:

Several Shopify apps can help you with this:

• Upload-Lift: This app allows you to add upload fields to various sections, including the order status page. Customers can then upload files associated with their order, providing a preview within the customer panel 
• Uploadery: Similar to Upload-Lift, Uploadery lets you add upload fields to order status pages. It also offers features like file size limits and different file type support.

You can hire a Shopify expert, who can potentially modify your theme to display the original uploaded file associated with the order. This would involve accessing the order data and retrieving the file information. However, this approach requires development expertise and maintaining the code with theme updates.
