UPS Ground Shipping from Hawaii and Package Dimension Requirements

We’re shipping from Honolulu and ran into some confusion with UPS Ground and large package dimensions.

I read that UPS doesn’t offer UPS Ground from Hawaii to the mainland. I also heard that for certain package sizes, UPS requires all three dimensions (L x W x H) to be specified, even for polymailers. However, Shopify allowed me to purchase a UPS Ground label for a 30 x 30" polymailer without entering a height. And this is from Hawaii to the mainland. I’m curious if this will work consistently or if it’s a rare exception?

Does anyone here have experience with large package requirements from Hawaii? Any insight on whether UPS Ground from Hawaii to the mainland is actually possible would be really helpful!
