URGENT! need too remove quantity selector from trade theme on homepage.

hi all, i want to remove the quantity select from the homepage of the trade theme. this particular product i am taking preorders so the preorder button should be available instead. how can i do this asap? the rest off the products should have a add too cart button when i have the items in stock. been trying for hours.

Hi Ghostface,

Since you mentioned that the quantity select is in the homepage, I assume you are using a featured product section. Exchanging the quantity selector with a preorder button requires you to change the code for the section, custom CSS alone will not do it. Alongside that, the product page code for the preorder-product also needs to be changed because if you only change the code for the section, they'll still be able to order from the product page. 

So how do you do it? You'll need to use a product metafield set to a true/false. This metafield will determine whether the product is preorder or not. After adding the product metafield, the code for your section and for your product page needs to be changed to support the metafield. If the metafield is true, meaning the product is a pre-order product, it will hide the add-to-cart button and show instead a pre-order button. If the metafield is false, it will just show the add-to-cart button as normal.
