I was playing around with some URL redirects, and something went wrong.
the complete redirect to is: https://square-trends.co/collections/phones-technology/products/spyprotect-tempered-iphone-glass
However when I go to square-trends.co/spyprotect, it brings me to another link: https://square-trends.co/collections/phones-technology/products/spyprotectTM-tempered-iphone-glass, and this link does not work. Hope someone can help me out.
Elle here from Shopify.
When I visit square-trends.co/spyprotect, I'm successfully redirected to https://square-trends.co/collections/phones-technology/products/spyprotect-tempered-iphone-glass.
Were you able to get this resolved on your end? If not, I'd recommend clearing your browsers cache to help resolve the issue.
Since the link you're being redirected to is a 404 page, you can also set an additional redirect up which would look like this:

Where do I find that URL Redirect page? Is that in shopify? Or somewhere else? I am desperately trying to get http://www.neuyear.net/free to redirect to a specific product I've setup (https://www.neuyear.net/products/free-sunday-monochrome-2020). I've tried a 301 redirect on my domain name host (bluehost), but I don't really know what I'm doing and it's not seeming to work. Maybe it takes a while? Or do I need to be creating redirects in shopify? If so, where is the page to do this, I can't find it!?
AH-HA! I figured it out. The URL Redirects thing is in Shopify. I finally found it under Online Store > Navigation > (there's a tiny link at the top that says URL Redirects).
Sorry for the delay, @jessephillips1 !
Glad to hear you were able to track that down. Here is our Help Doc on URL redirects for your reference.
I had a similar issue but managed to redirect it to the working URL but my ad is still showing 404 site not found. Can anyone help with this?
Can you please share a screenshot of how you've set up the URL redirect in your admin? It would also be helpful if you can share the URL you have set in your ad, so folks within the community can give you feedback on the issue you're having.
