Using metafields so a product can appear under more than one options on filters

Hi,

We sell greetings cards and have set up a metafield so customers can search by 'occasion'. Currently it's set so that a card can only be allocated one 'occasion'. But some designs will work across a few options - is there a way to set up the metafield to allow the product to be assigned more than one option?

Hi @JuliaWM, you can set a metafield to be assigned multiple options when creating it by clicking the "List of values" button (just below the type of metafield).

Unfortunately you cannot change an existing metafield to be set up like this once it has been created so you may need to re-populate the fields you have already entered.

You can consider using the Easify Product Options app to create your greeting cards as custom options in specific products. It allows you to create different sets of card options and easily assign these cards to all or specific products.

If you can provide me with more specific requirements, I can suggest a setup with the app 🤗.

Compared to using metafields, our suggested approach is more flexible and effective.
