Using Shopify Magic, can I automatically generate descriptions for all products?

We currently have ~4,000 products, most of which have the product name as the only text in the description.   I would like to use Shopify Magic to automatically generate AI text for each product using the tags as keywords and with a preset tone choice.

Is that possible and if not, how soon will that be possible? 🙂

Unfortunately, there is currently no bulk option to use Shopify Magic for product descriptions. Additionally, we don't have a time frame for when and if this will be available. I did, however, provide this feedback to our team on your behalf as I can see how beneficial this would be!

In the meantime, I would love to take a look at your store to provide more support. When you have a moment, please provide your domain!

Thanks Skye and I figured as much.  Yes, it would be VERY helpful to get a more automated way of doing this.  I suspect it may end up being a 3rd party to implement this, though I'm partial to in-house Shopify tools and have been impressed recently with the cadence of updates to things like Shopify Inbox, Shop integration, and Collabs.

FIrst off, your site looks great! It's very original, the color scheme is great, and you do a great job with product imagery.

One thing I would suggest is changing the verbiage of your 'Categories' menu item to something such as 'Cookie Cutters' in order to better differentiate it from your stickers and printable products.

All you have to do is connect your store, choose your tone of voice and target market. Automatically, AI feeds off your current description and create compelling, unique and SEO friendly descriptions for all your products. If you have 5 or 5,000 it works.

There's no bulk content generation on Shopify Magic. But you can try apps available on Shopify app store that can do it. And some of them are free or have free plan, like ChatGPT AI Content Generator and many other.
