We’re based in Honolulu, HI, and recently we've been having trouble with USPS shipping labels. When I try to create a USPS label, I get an error message saying, 'The requested service is unavailable between the selected locations.' Strangely, if I switch to UPS, then back to USPS, the message disappears, and it allows me to select USPS Ground Advantage and proceed. Has anyone else in Hawaii (or other remote locations) encountered this error? Any ideas on what could be causing it or how to fix it?
We are having the same issue for packages originating in Los Angeles and going to Australia. Today is the third time it's happened this month.
This error is still happening everyday for us. 😦 I hope it gets fixed soon.
Did your package from LA to Australia deliver fine?
Yes it did! Many times, now.
On it! I’ve run into a similar USPS label issue on our website too, and it’s super frustrating. Switching carriers like you mentioned sometimes works, but it feels like a glitch. Would love to hear if anyone’s found a permanent fix!
When the message disappeared did you proceed to fulfill the order? If so, did the package deliver?

Actually, even when there is a message, you can still proceed and purchase the shipping label. The packages get delivered just fine.
We have also not had trouble with delivery and this thread is making me worry less, so thanks to both of you for chiming in.

Question! It worked for international orders too? And they still shipped?
I haven’t shipped international but I assume it should work fine.
Just had this pop up for the first time ever, attempting to buy postage from Ohio to Alaska. Switching from USPS to UPS, then back to USPS, the warning message disappears. Also works switching between USPS mail classes (Ground Advantage & Priority).
But if I exit the shipping label purchase page, and start over by clicking the "Buy shipping label" button again, the error message returns.
I guess no need worry about the error message. You can still purchase shipping with the error message on the screen. But I would feel better if they fix it so I don't need to see the error message every time.
Thank you so much for posting this and the replies! I just got this message for the first time and it does the same for me where the message will disappear. I am much less worried about it since all of you said your packages still shipped and arrived.
