Variant of a variant

I'm building a store that sells canvas art. One of my variants is for the canvas to be framed or unframed. I need to add color options for the framed version only. Here is an example of a store that has this: https://lightyourhome.co/products/the-last-supper-canvas-1?variant=44254349328580

Is there a simple way to do this?

• Globo Product Options

These let you create conditional logic, so when a customer selects “Framed,” a new set of options (like frame color) will appear. It won’t create actual Shopify variants for each combo (which helps keep your variant count low), but it works really well visually and functionally.

Looks like you want to show frame color options only when “Framed” is selected — totally doable! I recommend using Easify Product Options. It lets you create a “Frame” option, and then show color choices only when “Framed” is selected, using conditional logic — no coding needed! Super easy to set up and works great for canvas art.

• This is the back end: You just need to create Type and Size options with Shopify variants in Shopify Product as usual, then go to Easify Product Options, create an option set with Image Swatch like this:

To make sure Frame Color option only shows up when customers choose Framed Canvas, you just need to use Conditional Logic in Advanced Settings:
