My Shopify store was shut down without any prior notice or warning, claiming that I violated the AUP policy. However, I have reviewed it many times and still cannot understand which rule I violated. I believe that normal store operators would never violate these policies. I am now extremely angry and frustrated because I have invested so much time and money in finding suppliers and partnerships for my business. Just as I was about to start advertising and making sales, my store got shut down at this critical juncture. I need Shopify's customer service to respond to me and give me an explanation!

 

By the way, I am not only responsible for one store. My main job is with a Google Premier Partner agency, and I am also a Shopify Plus partner. Why is my own business being treated this way? Does Shopify completely discriminate against individuals? When a personal merchant on a basic plan encounters difficulties, there is no customer support at all, right? If you shut down my personal store, then please shut down all the stores I am currently managing for my clients too! Because they all follow the same process!

I was also suspended yesterday and don't know the reason. How long have you been suspended? I have been using Shopify persistently until I encountered this issue. It feels like all my previous efforts will be in vain, including my two years' worth of back-end data, which I can no longer access. I'm starting to think about switching platforms.

If I can't resolve this, I will encourage many customers and community members to migrate together. I always thought Shopify was the best until this happened to me.

I've recently encountered a similar issue where my Shopify store, which I've been operating for three months, was suddenly suspended. I've submitted an appeal with all the necessary documentation, but Shopify has yet to respond. This suspension has already caused me to lose tens of thousands of dollars in revenue, and the losses are ongoing.

I assume there was some automatic sweep done and stores shut down. My account was also just terminated over violating the acceptable use policy, despite the fact that I had only so much as set a default template for my shop, didn't modify anything yet, and it was still under password protection. I'm a little lost as to how I could have violated the use policy when I wasn't even "using" the service yet. So far, no response to my appeal form submission.

 

Very good first impressions for a company I was going to trust with processing approx 40k+ in revenue each year!

They finally reinstated my store after a total of eight days. Initially, they didn't respond, and the appeal process was ineffective. I bombarded them with emails through various channels until I finally got a response. They requested some proof documents, and I thought everything would be fine. However, after I submitted the documents, they immediately informed me of their final decision: the store would not be reinstated. I was furious and continued to contact them through all possible means. Eventually, they gave me another chance, asking for additional supporting documents. After I submitted those, they reinstated my store the next day. My experience is that you must ensure the Shopify team manually reviews your case, otherwise, the outcome will always be the same!
