Volume product discount combined with shopify discount?

Hello everyone, I have some questions, and I hope somebody can help me with them.

I am currently using Shopacado for volume discounts on my products. It works fine and does the job. Currently, when people add 6 or more of the same product to the cart, they get a 10% discount.

The problem with Shopacado is that when the customer adds 6 products or more to the cart and receives the 10% discount, they can't apply a "better" or higher value discount code at checkout. The two systems don't communicate with each other at the Shopify checkout discount code field.

Instead, they are offering a custom discount field on the cart page, but not everybody sees that.

My question is: Isn't there a better solution that also works at the Shopify checkout discount code? I simply want, when customers add 6 or more of the same products to the cart, they receive a 10% discount. But if they have a higher value discount code, it should replace the automatic 10% volume discount.

Does anybody know of a better solution I can try?

But you cannot get the discount code at the checkout with shopify but you can enter the hopify code at the app widget.

Hi @LauraOO , The reason for this behaviour is because most volume based discount apps use Shopify's Draft order Checkout to apply custom discounts. There are many drawbacks to this approach:

1. Native Shopify Coupon Codes dont work.

2.Checkout is not tracked in Google Analytics of any other analytics tool

Up untill now this was the only workaround to have advanced discount rules in Shopify. However, recently shopify launched a functionality of Checkout Functions, where you can create your custom discounts that work natively in Shopify's Online store checkout.

We have recently created an app using this technology by the name of Every Possible Discount. The discounts created from this app can combine natively with Shopify's existing discounts and also your analyitcs will work without any issues.
