There is a notice requested that I upload my w9 and Shopify Payments US update form on the home page of the backend of my store. Does this mean a w9 filled out for just myself (if I am the only "employee") and what is the other form? Where can I find it?

The Shopify Payments US update form collect has been sent out to verify key information for the individuals in your business. Please check your email inbox as an email should have been sent to with a link to the document. If you have not received the email, please visit our Help Center and log in to your account to create a support request so that we can send you the form.
In terms of uploading your W9, I suggest reviewing the public IRS information here and consulting your tax professional if you are unsure. You can also reach out to support as we may be able to provide some more information regarding how many forms need to be submitted.
