All things Shopify and commerce
Hello world!
My coffee + gelato shop is almost open and my apparel designs are done. I want to figure out a way to sell articles of clothing inside my shop and online but never hold the inventory. I realize that my margins will be crushed by doing this, but I am okay with that until I can source my own supplier. Is Shopify the right place to be? Any help would help 🙂
Yep! People do print-on-demand all the time even without selling coffee and gelato 😉
Lots of information on the subject here: https://www.shopify.com/ca/blog/print-on-demand
Hey @1022gelato,
Yes, Shopify is in part designed for exactly this! You can choose from a number of different integration to suit your Print-on-Demand needs and quickly set up a merchandise store. Check out this intro guide to learn how it all works.
You can opt to have a storefront and domain name where customers can go and browse your products, or you can simply use the checkout and sell directly through Social Media sales channels with the Starter plan - this is especially useful if you have or intend to build a social media presence for your shop!
What kinds of apparel are you hoping to sell? Printful offers everything from mugs to t-shirts!
Let me know if I can clarify any of the above for you.
