All things Shopify and commerce
Can someone please help us. We recently updated our store https//:www.lolagetts.com with the Focal theme. Unfortunately we continue to have abandon carts and low conversion rates. If someone can diagnosis the problem and help address this it would be great. We fixed all of our email issues on Klaviyo, we continue to run ads and still we are not seeing the success we want given that we are one of the only activewear brands for plus size.
Hey Staceyseg,
We totally get the frustration you're facing with abandoned carts and low conversion rates on your store, even after the recent theme update.
Let's tackle this together
Example-you might notice that a significant number of users are dropping off on the product page without adding items to their carts. This could indicate an issue with product descriptions or images that need improvement.
Example- Instead of asking users to create an account before checking out, offer a guest checkout option. Additionally, you could implement an address autocomplete feature to make filling out shipping information faster and easier.
Example- if you're selling clothing, provide images of the item being worn by a model as well as close-ups of fabric textures. Additionally, write compelling product descriptions that highlight key features and benefits, and include prominent calls-to-action such as "Add to Cart" buttons.
Example- You should consider sending a reminder email with a discount code or offer free shipping to encourage customers to complete their purchase. Additionally, you could include product recommendations based on items they've previously viewed or added to their cart.
Example - Use image compression tools like TinyPNG to reduce file sizes without sacrificing image quality. Additionally, minify CSS and JavaScript files to reduce load times, and leverage browser caching to store frequently accessed resources locally on users' devices.
Example - Test different button colors to see which one results in more conversions, or test different copy variations to see which one resonates more with your audience. Use tools like Google Optimize or Optimizely to set up and analyze these tests.
Example - Use a tool like to enable live chat functionality and set up automated responses for frequently asked questions. Additionally, train your support team to provide personalized assistance and guidance to users who need help during their shopping journey.
By addressing these areas comprehensively and continuously monitoring performance metrics, you can enhance the overall user experience and drive higher conversion rates on your store. If you need further assistance or insights, don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to help you succeed!
Hello @staceyseg,
It's evident you've made substantial efforts in addressing issues with your store, from Klaviyo email optimizations to consistent advertising. However, if you're still encountering challenges with abandoned carts and low conversion rates, it might be time to explore additional strategies.
Have you considered incorporating social proof into your store? Adding elements like recent sales notifications or customer reviews can significantly increase trust and encourage visitors to make a purchase. It creates a sense of urgency and credibility, ultimately driving conversions.
In this regard, I'd like to suggest exploring the Iconic Sales Pops app. This application seamlessly integrates with Shopify and provides real-time notifications of recent sales or other site activities. It's a subtle yet effective method of building trust and fostering urgency among your visitors.
I hope this suggestion proves helpful in addressing your current challenges. Best of luck with your endeavors.
