All things Shopify and commerce
Hello! New shop owner here! I just launched my store over the past weekend, and all of a sudden today I cannot see my store while connected to my office website or network. All the office computers have the same issue. I was able to see it when I took my phone out of the wifi.
Here is a screen shot of what we get when trying to see the page.
I am able to log in and work on the page just fine, but I cannot preview it, visit it on our browser, or visit it on mobile while on our network. I am worried this is happening to customers, and would like to know what to do.
Thanks!
Same issue here - my site isn't new at all but this issue occurs in certain locations on certain devices. Then off the wifi connection it is perfectly fine.
Hi there, @SD.
Welcome to the Shopify Community, and thank you for joining the thread.
I understand you're reporting a 'site is blocked' error message. To confirm, are you able to replicate this issue on your end?
The message "Malware and Phishing - Site is blocked" appearing on websites across different locations and devices typically indicates that the website has been flagged by security systems as potentially dangerous. This can happen for several reasons. Sometimes, specific regions may have higher security protocols due to prevalent cyber threats in those areas. Websites might be blocked in these regions but accessible from others. Different devices may have varying levels of security settings. For example, a work computer might have more stringent security protocols compared to a personal device, leading to discrepancies in website accessibility.

Hi, did you manage to fix this issue? I’m having same issues and have been told I need to hire a IT security expert to trace the malware, remove it and then report to the security companies that the website is safe. What did you do?
Thanks for that, I think my issue is something else but good to know how to fix a variety of issues. Thanks for responding 😊
The 5th, I kid you not, Shopify tech support person pointed me to this article saying they found a solution to the exact problem I am facing. Uhhh...... the dude who wrote those article doesn't even know what he did to solve it! Why the eff is Shopify tech support acting like this is a solution to the problem. I ahve been facing this problem for weeks and Shopify does nothing to help. Worthless people.
