Also, there is no visual on the customer-entered shipping address with the exception of the order page. It is not uncommon for a customer to enter their address in a somewhat incorrect format that may require a little tweaking.

Your completely right on that. Seems like Shopify losing touch with the merchants.

I am very unhappy with the new order printer app. Aside from the slight annoyance of migrating existing templates, there are several things that are possible in the legacy app that are no longer possible in the new one. Page breaks for example - It used to be simple to force a page break with very simple inline styling - This no longer seems possible in the new app. I've tried a half dozen known methods of forcing a page break and none have worked. That is just one example of several.

 

The legacy app has been around forever and I understand that sometimes things need to be updated that will cause some level of inconvenience to the userbase. It is sometimes unavoidable and I can accept that. What I cannot accept is taking a function so core to merchants such as order printing and making it objectively worse in every way. When a new version of anything is released it should be better than the original, at least in most aspects. I have been playing with the new Order Printer app for the past two days, and I have yet to find a single thing it does better than the app it is replacing.

 

I STRONGLY urge anyone reading this who agrees to make your frustrations heard via tickets and reviews on the app itself. In 3 months they will sunset the legacy order printer and we will be stuck with this disaster of an app unless they are convinced to fix it.
