There are thousands of apps on Shopify App Store but I must admit that it can be quite overwhelming for new store owners to see a multitude of options when searching for an app under a specific category.

Below, I’ve selected 5 great and easy to use Shopify apps for you and other newbies to make life easier while making use of Shopify to grow your business.

Consistent Cart

Have you noticed that sometimes after adding some items into the cart while shopping online, you could end up not making any purchases but next time when you log in you find all the items still in your cart?

That is “persistent shopping cart” in action. Consistent Cart app helps save all items in the cart whenever customers are logged in. If they swap to different devices or logout & login, the app keeps every item saved in cart. Consistent Cart can boost your earnings and reduce the rate of abandoned carts by adding back previous items to customer’s cart even when they log into different computers simultaneously.

Quick Facebook Live Chat

This application keeps you connected to your visitors on the go. Rather than flooding your email with numerous mails, Quick Facebook Live Chat app allows your visitors to send messages to your Facebook web page inbox right from the store. Then, you can chat with them via inbox as Facebook friends and change them into the paying and repeat customers. Facebook messenger actively stores your chats so there is no fear of losing them. This app puts an end to e-mail exchange for customer care, because social media now takes reign of real-time customer support.

Boost Sales

Since its launch in to the eCommerce world, Boost Sales has grown to become one of the best Shopify apps that really boost conversion and sales by increasing order value per online shopper. When customers view or add items to cart, Boost Sales immediately popups a new window that displays other alternatives customers can also choose from. Not only does Boost Sales enable you to manually plan your own preferred upsell and cross-sell bundles, but it additionally manipulates and reviews sales data of the complete store to automatically recommend products to the right customers.

Mailbot

This mailing app was made to simplify and improve the highly challenging procedure for converting e-mail marketing network for eCommerce stores. Mailbot liberates you from endless hours and efforts of drafting and preparing newsletters weekly. Essentially, the most exceptional feature of Mailbot is its completely automated email creation and posting. It works primarily by taking your preferred settings, email body & subject matter libraries, and automatically produces different kinds of weekly notifications which range from new arrivals, product advice, collection cross-sell etc. personalized for each and every customer.

Better Promotion Box

Holding up as the No.1 Free app in marketing categories for an extended period with almost 1,000 reviews, Better Promotion Box has been employed by more than 30,000 Shopify stores. What is the idea behind it? To provide website visitors a discount coupon if they get to follow social accounts or subscribe to emails for updates. Better Promotion Box has the potential to skyrocket your store’s following on Facebook/Twitter while growing your email list by utilizing the power of e-mail marketing

Hi Mark,

Well, there are countless apps that you can choose from, many of them free or have a free trial so you can play and see what works best for you. It also depends on your unique brand, your style, and your product category. So, what works for someone else won't necessarily suit your needs. The best strategy on a long run is strengthening your brand, differentiating it from your competitors and extending your customer's life-cycle. Our Zinevoice - Magazine Invoices App will help you do just that while boosting your sales.

Did you know that Shopify notification emails have the highest open rates among your customers? Use it to your advantage. Our App lets you create beautiful magazine style invoices including Recommended Products, Thank You notes and Coupon Codes. It is super easy to use, no coding skills required, runs in the background and our team is ready to answer any question you may have. I invite you to give it a try for free and let us know what you think :)

Here is a link to download the App: https://apps.shopify.com/pdf-catalog-whiz

Definitely use or at least try out the Show Recent Orders app.
It adds a social proof element on your site and increases conversions. It will show the most recent orders to your visitors with a nice popup and will give them more confidence to complete a purchase in your store.
Try it out as it comes with a free 10 day trial here. It really gives your store the "busy" look and makes people buy your products :)

Hiya, you've had lots of good practical suggestions here, but I'd think about taking a step back at look at what you're trying to make happen on your store - that an app would help you achieve.

In other words, identify the problem or weaks spot, and find the app to resolve that for you. Tons of useless apps, get expensive, and just like with mega sized picture cause your site to get slow. Some also don't play no nice together so it's always an idea to keep your tech stack lean - essential only.
