What does 'referrer site' mean in traffic analysis data?

checking traffic data and came across: referrer site - review.intern.facebook.com. What does it mean? Seeing a lot of this and they are all desktop.

The traffic from the referrer site review.intern.facebook.com is coming from the communication channel "workplace." Someone using Workplace might have shared your website's URL. That's why you are getting visits from this channel.

It's legit and not a scam. I was wondering how much traffic is coming from this referrer. If it constitutes most of your traffic, you might need to verify your GA4 implementation. GA4 provides a method to manually overwrite the referrer. If similar code is present on the site, all the traffic might be attributed to an incorrect referrer.
