What is a valid theme license code, Shopify emailed me that my license code needs to be verified.

I was told that my Shopify store would be taken down if I didn't validate my theme license code. I never purchased a theme and used the default theme. Is this a scam?

If Shopify has sent you an email stating that you need to verify your license code:

1. Locate the email or invoice you received when you purchased the theme.
2. Find the license code in that email.
3. Reply to Shopify’s email or follow their instructions to submit the code for verification.

If you cannot find the code, contact the platform or developer from whom you purchased the theme for assistance.

Check the email address of the sender, if it ends in @gmail.com or anything other than @Shopify.com then it's a scammer and you can ignore it.
