What is limit of products, tags, images on shopify plan?

Is there a data limit per site when using tags, images, products etc... on a shopify plan?

Does having lots of data like this in the backend cause the website to be slower?

Read a reddit post awhile ago someone had 10k+ products on their storefront using automation. I'm at 500 products right now no signs of slowdown.

As far as I know 

While Shopify allows you to add an unlimited number of products, once your store reaches 50,000 variants, a daily upload limit is imposed. Specifically, you can add up to 1,000 new variants per day beyond this threshold. This means if you have 50,000 products with one variant each, you'd hit this limit. To surpass this, you'd need to upgrade to Shopify Plus, which removes this restriction.

I think for tags and images each product can have up to 250 tags .
