What is the latest method for bulk editing product variants?

Hi,

What is the best way to bulk edit variants? 

(I've seen this question already asked in the forums however those posts are 1-2 years old.)

For stores with 100's/1000's of products the csv method seems very tedious. Is there a app/new method to do this?

Yes - for bulk editing variants, the csv export/import method can be tedious - and not as intuitive as directly editing an excel or google sheet. You could try the Products & Variants editor on the Sheet Master app on the Shopify App Store. Demo video below, reach out to support if you need any help getting set up.

Does that app allow you to bulk add variants? (I have multiple products that need a new variant and i'm trying to figure out the best way to do this)

Is this an app or is this within shopify itself? We have about 800 different products we need to add a new variant to. Trying to find the best way to do so without editing each and every product individually.

A little late to the party, but there's an undocumented way to edit fields across all variants in a store:
