All things Shopify and commerce
I have spent all morning trying to get support from shopify and it seems to be impossible.
They have made it hard to contact them for the most simple of questions and even once I've managed to connect to chat support the support there is absolutely useless and they never resolve any of my issues or answer any of my questions which are as simple as WHERE ARE MY PAYOUT DATES????
I have been getting payouts without any issues and have been waiting until the 30th of November to receive a payout.
Today I check my payout balance and there are now no payout dates....
I have tried asking an agent on chat support but their answer is "you have to manually select the days you want the payout" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 what a rubbish answer..... I have NEVER had to manually select my payout dates and why would I all of a sudden need to do this when I've been receiving my payouts with no issues at all.
So I've finally come here to see if anyone can ACTUALLY help me find out why my payout dates have just dissapeared???
This seems to always happen with shopify. I get some sales on my store -> I'm unable to fulfill these orders in time because of the massive 4 day wait for my payout -> day before payout everything changes like the payout information.
Originally the payout date was 30th of November. Now it is not showing any payout date.
Is there somebody who can help me and not be a useless chat support agent and give me absolute rubbish for an answer to my issue
Hey @JasonJordan1,
If you're using Shopify Payments as your payment gateway, then this page shows you where to check your payout schedule (and how to select the pay periods):
View Payouts:
Admin > Settings > Payments > View Payouts
Schedule Payouts (ie. 'pay periods'):
Admin > Settings > Payments > Manage > Payout Schedule
It's also worth noting that your payouts would go to a bank account, not your PayPal account.
If you're using PayPal as a payment gateway, then whenever you get an order that's using PayPal, the payment should show in your PayPal account immediately. There wouldn't any 'pay periods' for orders that go through PayPal.
Cheers,
Stephen

Again... more rubbish information.
Obviously I could see that myself but when I do the PAYOUT DATES ARE NOT THERE
so....
again...
WHERE ARE MY PAYOUT DATES????
Being rude (and typing in caps) isn't going to get you anywhere. Folks like me on these forums don't work for Shopify, and we don't get paid to answer posts -- we're doing this on our own time, to try and help the community.
If you followed my steps from above, and you're not seeing any payouts listed for Shopify Payments, then the order probably went through a different payment gateway, or else you didn't capture payment at checkout.
Without access to your store, or screenshots of your payment settings + the order (with personal details blurred), there's not much more anyone on these forums can do to help you.

hello , is there any way i can see my payment schedule if i use paypal to payout, before i used shopify payment and than i could click manage and find payment schedule but now using paypal and i cant find it anymore is it gone is this normal?
Hey Kayley,
If you're using PayPal, then the payouts (money collected from customers, minus any fees from PayPal's end), should be deposited into your PayPal account immediately (so there really isn't a 'schedule' for those).
In some cases, PayPal may temporarily hold your money, if you're doing more business/orders than usual. In that case, you'd be able to see when the money is scheduled to be released directly from your PayPal dashboard (when you login to PayPal). It'll show your total on the dashboard, and then if any amounts are on hold (with the estimated release date next to it).
