Re: Domain blocked, Site frozen.

Why am I being billed for a POS I didn't setup on my account?

Hi,

Third month after trial now and My account is frozen and domain blocked and shopify has billed me for POS. I never setup POS so I dont know why I see this charge. I have spoken to the support and they are asking me to pay the full amount to activate my account! This bill is technically for the next month and I have already notified you that I do not want POS then why do you want me to pay for it? This got me pretty unsettled and I felt it would be best if I transferred the domain to a more reliable platform but when I asked the support for the same I got a response that I need to pay the bill for the upcoming month first before getting access to the domain which I already paid for. In all fairness I am willing to pay the subscription charge for the next month but expecting me to pay for the POS also when I have not set it up doesnt seem fair.

Hi @richardbordedev

Thank you for sharing those details. I understand that you wish to move your store platform, or at least the domain you purchased through Shopify, to a new host. Since your store is closed with a pending charge on it our support has let you know that the billing fee needs to be settled before you can access the store, but that billing fee includes the cost of Shopify POS Pro, which you did not want on your account. Sounds correct?

In this situation you are best to reach back out to our authenticated support team and request that the POS Pro billing charge be removed from your bill. I can't guarantee that they will be able to assist you with that, they may ask that the fee be paid and then assessed to see if a refund is viable. This will most likely require an escalation to our billing team for further assistance.
