Hello Everyone, I just recently realized that shopify is charging me 3.6% + 30 cents per transaction instead of the 2.6% that I should be getting. Does anyone know why this might be?
I believe those are the processing rates for Online International/Amex credit cards.
Good guess, but Incorrect. I was charged 3.6% today eve though the customer used a visa card and it’s a domestic transaction (they are in Arizona, and our business partner located in NJ).
No idea why this happened, but I’m starting to question how many other transactions were a mistake like this. The fee has been and should ONLY BE 2.6% fee.
But for some odd reason this transaction clearly states: Shopify Payments fee (3.6% + $0.30 USD)
