Why am I getting HTTP error 431 when trying to load my webshop backend?

Hi, 

while my shop is online, I'm unable to load the backend of the webshop. 

I can reach the login page, but when I try to login, I get the "this page doesn't work" page, followed by the HTTP error 431. 

What can be done to resolve this issue?

same here - but when i use Safari as a browser it works.

closing all windows and rebooting the computer (i use MAC) didnt solve the problem either

try clearing cache an cookies from the last 7 days.

It asked me to confirm my connection parameters by activated 2FA which I denied. (not my priority at the moment). And the I have this error HTTP ERROR 431

Impossible to login. I have an other shop with which I have no problem...

General problem at Shopify? 

Some specific changes...

Deleting all the temp internet files worked for me, but it's not an ideal solution.

There are 2 cache files! Advanced and Basic, empty them both! Problem should be solved then. I spent 3 hours today trying to figure out how to fix, unfortunate.

The easy way to fix that is open the console, go to aplication / storage and clean site data.

depends the browser the name and icon is a little different but this solution works on all .

here and example using chrome developpers console.

It helped by simply clearing the cache of past 7 days
