Why am I not receiving any more Shopify Capital offers?

My store was offered capital twice and I chose and accepted both times. After my first repayment, they immediately sent another offer. It's been a few weeks since I paid off my second loan but haven't received any offers or updates. And of course there's no way to really get in touch with a representative. Anyone have any luck with contacting them or know why this is going on?

Unfortunately there is from what I was told. 😞 I honestly don’t see them catching up until after the holidays. Opening the program to Australia I think overwhelmed the capital team, well obviously it did  I’m just keeping the faith at some point soon it’ll be back where it was simple, easy and fast.

@AshlynBoutique  did you ever receive your funding? I have had quite a few and always pay them off way before they are due.     I submitted one on Dec. 8th and everyday it gets pushed back a day.  It was to happen December 13th, 14th, 15th and so on and we are on December 21 right now.   Just curious if you are still waiting.

Hi .. yes I actually did finally receive it on 11/10 and then I’ve paid that one off with another loan active right now which will be in review mode tonight when I hit 85%.

I found they don’t offer on the weekends. My last one I hit my mark on a Saturday and didn’t get one until Monday. I can’t say for sure but that just happened to me as well.

Your so welcome! There’s nothing worse then that waiting time it’s awful 😵💫 and I bet you’ll have it first thing in the morning which is exciting! I’ve had I think 12 now and do the same paying it quickly and I’m ALWAYS looking forward and hoping for the next offer. 🤣

How long after you were approved did you see funds in your account! 
I was approved today and it says funds today, but i do not see!

If you were approved today (congrats! 🎉) you’ll see the funds in the morning, whenever your bank does it’s over night deposits/credits I’m sure you’ll see it, that’s how it’s always been for me  😍

I was wondering the same thing! I hit my mark today (Saturday) but no offer- I was wondering if that's because it's the weekend?

Hi .. I do 99.9% think it’s because it’s the weekend is why your not seeing it. Out of all mine two times it was a weekend and I didn’t get an offer until the following Monday. Crossing fingers for you and don’t be alarmed if you don’t Monday is a Holiday I just realized so it could be Tuesday. Im

I finally received it thank goodness.  I emailed a few times, I believe they are overwhelmed.  Never got a clear answer but I was in Review for two weeks but did finally receive!  Thank you for your response.

Unfortunately not! It’s been a year and no update which is weird.

I got told from shopify that my shop meets eligibility but that they go through sending offers to each shop individually.
On the capital homepage it says my shop is not eligible though, so I’m getting very mixed messages from shopify customer service and the actual dashboard.

Shame they don’t make this more accessible, especially during these slower summer months as it would be great to boost our marketing plan so we can push more sales and get better market visibility before the Christmas shopping season begins.

Yh it’s crazy. A whole year and not an offer, I give up I do now then. I’ve been waiting 3 months but I thought something might of happened. I’ve called up they said I should get an offer soon but still awaiting one! 
My dash board also says I’m not eligible. I did have 2 refunds I made on my account not sure if this is the reason. Surely can’t be

Hello when you mention paying them off early are you using funds out of your bank to remit the balance early or are you doing it the traditional way by letting the percentage from the sales pay it off? If you are remitting the balance yourself do you think your offers have been good compared to the traditional way? I’m thinking about remitting my balance but I’m not sure if that’ll hinder my offer.

I did because I sold a lot in person which does not go through the website.   Yes the offers have been good.  I did get an offer a few days after paying it off and I submitted the request.  It did take a few weeks and I was finally approved and received it.  I was worried there for awhile because I thought maybe I should have used that money to buy inventory however I truly believe after what I have read and researched they are very back logged and finally kind of got that answer from them after the third email.  They have opened capital in other countries so I believe they are just overwhelmed put they did pull through for me.  Yes in the past it has been immediate but again its just a growth issue with them in my opinion.

It looks like there is a backlog of funding requests and our teams are working hard to get through them. Since you've already created a support ticket, then I'd recommend waiting as each of our teams handle tickets in the order they are received. As a result, I'm afraid additional support tickets may not necessarily help speed up this process. That being said, our Capital team will also proactively reach out when a new offer is ready or they will present the offer directly in your Shopify admin.

They offered us a 4th round of funding on 10/4/22 and I still haven't received an answer.

We were offered our 8th on 10/12 and still nothing here either and it’s always been approved same day within 8hrs. 
I did receive an email stating funds were estimated to be deposited on 11/14

Sorry to hijack this thread but I wasn't sure if it was worth starting my own just to offer feedback on Shopify Capital.

I had no idea about this program and was really surprised when I was offered a loan directly through Shopify. I have been running my small business on and off since 2018 but went all in early last year when I launched my Shopify store. 

Traditional banks never replied when I tried to borrow money because I haven't had a regular full-time job since 2018 when I left my teaching career due to disability.

So to say I was happy when the offer came through was a VERY big understatement!

I applied and was happy to be approved for an AUD$16k loan. 
That money went to paying off manufacturers and creating new products that I use to make custom orders. It was PERFECT timing because I had just finished an Indiegogo campaign to setup the workshop space but was still a little low on funds. The rest of the money went into an advertising campaign and I was able to lower my pricing as well which mad a big difference.

The loan was given on 23 September and I finished paying it off today 22 November after a great response to my ads and lower pricing!

I'm hoping that Shopify Capital see how well my business is going and offer me a higher amount for the 2nd loan. I have 4 new products ready to start manufacturing and hundreds of new customers that love what I'm doing and eagerly waiting new products to buy.

So from the bottom of my heart I wanted to say a big thank you to the Shopify Capital team for showing me the potential in my business and giving me the chance to really scale things up.

however it seems like funding is non existent anymore. I’m not sure what is going on. Something that use to be accessible to good standing sellers seems to be gone!

Thank you but we're not very optimistic at this point.. 

 

We passed the 'eligibility review' point quite some time ago and haven't heard anything from Shopify Capital.

 

It's a shame because I think this program has helped a lot of small businesses - which is a win/win for Shopify.

 

I'll still stay hopeful that we get another offer, but I'm not counting on it like we did previously. 

 

Hopefully things improve and they contact you as well.

Well we ended up paying off the $32k loan just before Christmas and it’s now almost March and we’ve had zero offers...

 

My sales are down on  the previous 12 months due to some health issues last year, so I’m guessing that their system has noted that and decided not to make any more offers.

 

It’s disappointing but I guess that’s business… profit over people. Gotta keep those shareholders happy!

 

I tried to get finance privately but the offers I had were absurd.. borderline illegal in my opinion. 

 

There was another Shopify capital thread where a Shopify rep said to contact support and see if we’re on a ‘do not contact’ list. I did that and they said I wasn’t on that mysterious list, but they weren’t able to give any more info than that 🤷‍♂️
