All things Shopify and commerce
Over the past few weeks, I've observed a significant increase in 404 errors on my website. At first, I attributed this to the recent spam traffic issues many have reported, especially since the URLs causing the 404 errors consisted of seemingly random letters. e.g. /products/lkjhasdlj
However, I've recently noticed a pattern where multiple hits are directed to nearly the same product URL, all within a few seconds of each other. This occurs a couple times a day and then sometimes skips a day or two.
Here are some examples: (my product names redacted)
/products/product-title-complete)
/products=
/products/product-titl=
/products/product-=
/products/product-title-compl=
/products/product-title-complete=
/products/prod=
While this could still be spam traffic, I want to ensure there isn't a misconfiguration on my end, or installed app gone awry. Any insights or recommendations on how to investigate this further would be greatly appreciated.
