All things Shopify and commerce
why am I being asked to enter a sku when adding products to my store, but with the previous products I was not required to do so. I have less than 20 Products total for my entire store.
I noticed this today too, out of nowhere it wont let me complete a product without entering a SKU and we have never had this issue in the past.
Same issue here, it seems shopify made skus for some of my products as well. Not sure how to get it to create them for my new products
Hi, @JaDogg.
Thanks for reaching out!
To confirm, when creating a new product, are you receiving an error message that the SKU cannot be blank? If you're able to share some additional context.

We are getting this error as well, is there any way to turn it off since we don't use SKU's on our items?
This is from one of the first products in our store from 2020, and is still our top item.
Hi there, @BooksAndCoffee!
This error may relate to a location that requires the use of SKUs, including third-party fulfillment services.
Are you using any third-party fulfillment services for your store?
