All things Shopify and commerce
I'm using Shopify email to send out information to my customers. I have PDF files I create each month and upload into my content area. I copy the link and enter it as the URL for a button in my email. It worked fine for months but now when I paste the link, it says "no results". The link is good. I have no idea what is causing this.
Hi @MitraP welcome to the Shopify Community,
please share a screenshot of your issue here.
Thanks
This is an email I am editing. See in the top right corner where I pasted a (good) link to a PDF document I had uploaded to my files? It says "no results" underneath it. It's a good link so why is this happening?
Hi, @MitraP
Are you using third party app for customizing the email template? if yes please let me know the name?
Thanks
I saw your screenshot, I suspect all you have to do is click on the URL in the dropdown to confirm the URL. (See Screenshot)
The reason why it shows "No Result" is because the field is primarily a keyword search field, so it would search based on page name, product name etc. It doesn't recognize URL, only keywords. Using the full PDF URL as a search term would obviously yield no result.
If you paste a URL into the link, you just have to click on the URL in the dropdown to select and confirm it.
