Anything new I create a product page for is showing as sold out despite all of my other info and product info staying the same (for a couple of years at this point!). Inventory is correct, location is correct. Anyone else having this issue?

I had this issue on some of my variants and successfully got them to stop showing up as sold out by adding a new variant (with a quantity set) before saving and a new product. Previously I tried to use the duplicate button, but the new product variants ended up having the same issues (even though it duplicated an item with inventory). I hope it works for you!
I've been having the same issue for the last couple of hours
I found that once the website showed it as sold out, it wasn't possible to fix it, even by checking 'continue selling when sold out', but if I created a new product and set the inventory quantity before I saved it that it seemed to work. Maybe that temporary workaround will help save you a few hours that I've lost trying to work around this issue.
Thanks so much--I'm chatting with support but it's not very fruitful. I'll try your workaround--thanks!

It worked! Holy cow. Thank you!! I'm sure it's something that will get ironed out in the next day or two but I really needed to get some listings up today and I appreciate it!! You saved me such a headache.
Was your orders fulfilled after you did that? I have the same issues.
Where do i even save the variants on this app I just learned how on the drop ship app 3 days ago I thought that took care of it automatically on Shopify but no?! I’m on like day 6 of trying to get my store going while having the flu I need help please
I'm having the same issue but I don't follow what you did as the workaround. Add a new dummy variant to the product page and then save? That didn't seem to work for me!
I also tried creating a completely new product page and that didn't work either! Help!
Also having this issue. Set product inventory to 1000 and it shows sold out. Workaround for me is to check "continue selling when sold out". Not ideal since we don't want to oversell, but it will work for now until they hopefully fix this issue.
No I had to create a new variant and stop using the old one completely. But, when creating a new variant I had to set the quantity to something other than 0 prior to saving the variant.
Continue selling when sold out didn't work for me but this issue started for me 8 hours ago so maybe they fixed it or made some updates since
Hey @1919Vintage.
Thanks for reaching out.
I appreciate the context that you have shared with us as that is very helpful!

I'm having the same issue just now. Why does Shopify keep having these issues?
Bonus points: sold out items are now available to order 😥
I reported this issue around noon EST today. I was told it was a known "emerging issue" and to check back in a few hours. It's 6 hours later and still no fix. Support said the only workaround is to not track quantities, which I explained was terrible for business and the customer experience. I don't have time to cancel a bunch of orders and explain to people that it's due to a website glitch. Hoping it's fixed soon. I'm closing my store in 30 days and don't have time for this! 😕
fix did not work for me.
Hey guys, I was having issues with my items showing Sold Out even though my inventory was fully stocked. By the way a Shopify representative could not help me fix it so I dug up the entire settings clicking on everything lol. You might have a different issues but here is what solved mine. I went to Settings then I clicked on shipping and delivery. Next I clicked on General Shipping Rates after that scroll down to fulfillment Locations and check all of them and click Save. That’s where my problem was. They were not checked. Now preview your store to see if the sold out went away. I hope this help you.
Worked for me like magic bro
I’m very grateful bro
I love you ! I was going insane. To think it is actually so simple to do, I'm surprised this is not in the Shopify FAQs.
Thank you so much for sharing this.
Didn't even realize the "General Shipping Rates" was a clickable area. Once I updated the Fulfillment Locations, it fixed everything.
Thank you!! What worked for me was adding rates to other countries/regions that I added to a market. Because apparently, it will show up as sold out if you're visiting the website from another region! I totally missed adding international shipping rates.
Worked! spent hours for this damn issue... had to fix the Fulfillment location, Shipping zones, and added Rate
Thank you!
Thank you soo much!
this fixed my issue using CJ
Thank you so much, God Bless you!
This did not help me. I am going insane.
Head over to shipping and delivery -- General Shipping Rates -- Fulfilment Location and delete all the rates
this worked for me 2025
I’ve been having the same issue, i am using Printify as inventory, and I’ve tried multiple fixes but nothing seems to be working. I’ve adjusted locations, shipping rates, and shipping zones, and I’ve also made sure that “Continue selling when sold out” is enabled. Despite all this, I’m still seeing issues with product availability.
The problem is that different items appear sold out depending on the region. Some products are unavailable in certain countries, while others are sold out in different locations. I’ve checked everything multiple times, and I’m not sure what’s causing this inconsistency.
This is becoming a major issue for my business, and I’d really appreciate any advice on how to fix it. Let me know what I should do next—thanks in advance for your help
We are having the same issue currently and it was solved first by the suggestions in the comments and then when it kept happening. We have two different warehouses, but changing the listing's warehouse directly was still producing the "sold out" tag and strikeouts.
We checked these settings: Shipping and Delivery -> Main Warehouse (or what your physical warehouse is supposed to be for the item) -> Manage Products -> Search for the New Product name. Check that the new product is check-marked. Often this is the issue.
PS: once an associate changed all the settings before finding this solution, so double check that the suggested settings in the comments are on.
Hello, if you are using any dropshipping app like CJ dropshipping or Dsers, etc, make sure to create a separate shipping profile to resolve the issue.
I made a video for it as well. Make sure to check it out and let me know if it resolves the issue:
