Why are my payouts suddenly on hold?

Out of nowhere, my payouts have been put on hold! No warning or emails. My business is entirely reliant on payouts and I have staff to pay who won't get paid, putting me at risk of being sued! I've been onto online chat and they just say it's being dealt with by another team and I'll be top of the list. BUT nothing has happened and £3,000 on hold!!! No escalation process and no help! Can anyone advise please?
