Why are my Shopify payments on hold and how can I resolve it?

I'm new to posting to this forum but I don't know what else to do to get some answers.  Firstly, the detail.  I woke up yesterday to find in my Shopify platform notifications.  

 

  1. "There's an issue with Shop - 2:49 AM
  2. Information needed to continue using Shopify Payments 2:52 AM
  3.  Your Shopify Payments account is on hold 2:52 AM

I contacted support and they told me to go into settings, payout and just rekey in my same bank account details and they will raise a ticket.  I performed all this and waited.  

 

I contacted support three time over the last 24 hours as I have a website and ads driving traffic to a website but I cannot collect payment by credit card as the Shopify payments is on hold.  At first I thought the hold was just on the payout but was notified by numerous customers there was no option to make payment by credit card so the issue became even more urgent.  

 

The second day, I contacted support to get some time frames as when this may be resolved and no answers it's in the queue.  I explain this is no help to me as my website is dead in the water if I cannot collect payment.  

 

I cannot even switch to a third party payment provider as I have an outstanding Shopify loan amount.  

 

I'm getting desperate for some type of help but getting nothing from Shopify, only words.  

 

Based on the time the notifications were sent, they did not even give me a chance to submit information before they cut me off which makes no sense and further, I did not even send through additional information after speaking to customer support person as they had me key in the same information?   This is seriously impacting my business and now I had to stop all advertisement as nobody can make payment.  My website is as good as dead until I can allow customers to make payment.  Any suggestions would be good..  Please I need help..
