All things Shopify and commerce
I am having issues getting my images from my store to show up in google images. If I go to google and do a search site:dayzzed.com I see all of my products are indexed. But when I click on images to see all of the images indexed I only see a few of the many images on my site. Does anyone have an idea of what I have done incorrectly? I have checked all images to ensure they have alt text and optimized their size for SEO but they are still not displaying.
Hi @kmac72. Thank you for reaching out to the Shopify Community.
There could be a few reasons why your images are not showing up in Google yet.
1. Depending on when you created your site/uploaded those images it might be taking some more time to process your images even though your website is indexed. Sometimes your website is completely indexed in a few days, and sometimes it can take several weeks, it really just depends on Google.
2. If your images are low quality or size (too small or too large) it's possible Google is now displaying the images because they don't meet their standards. Make sure to use high quality images only for your website to optimize not only your search results, but generally for your customers experience while browsing your store.
3. If your images are common images that other stores or sites also are using (especially if you're Dropshipping or reselling products), Google may not display all of them in search results. Google prefers unique and uncommon content and images, so it's best to always make your own content and take your own photos, even if you are selling products that aren't unique to your brand.
