Hello;

I launched a new store, had videos made, and hired a social manager, however after getting over 1,300 visits there have been no sales.  Here is my store;

https://campfirefrontier.com

Can anyone help me with this please?  Thanks so much!

Mike

Hey Mike,

You have a really well designed store and overall it's very attractive but I think you do have some problems that are keeping people from making a purchase.

  1. You need to do something about your product collections. At the moment you only have two collections available in the top menu, which are Outdoor Equipment and Outdoor Essentials. They both basically mean the same thing. You really should have everything categorized much better, such as: Backpacks, Tents, Camp Kitchen Gear, etc. At the moment your store just looks like a hodgepodge of camping and hiking gear with no real way for the customer to browse categories.
  2. The reviews aren't reviews from your store itself, and therefore look fake. In the reviews I see a lot of product photos that don't match the product the review is meant to be for. There is also a lot  of reviews in other languages and even in Cyrillic writing. Go to any reputable store and the reviews won't look like that. Customers are smart and can see through those false reviews straight away.
  3. Almost every single item's title starts with "Outdoor". We know it's outdoor! It's an outdoor gear shop. You should work on some better, descriptive titles.
  4. Campers, hikers, and outdoorspeople are absolute gearheads. They stick to the brands they know and will spend lots of cash on well known brands. You're not naming the brand of your items, and are selling off-brand generic stuff which your customer doesn't know they can trust. That's fine, you can still find some people to buy that stuff but you should try to market it differently on your home page and maybe change up your social strategy. Call it discount or overstock gear that has been vetted for quality but is available at a lower price point. At a "Compare At" price on your products that is much higher than the sale price. That way customers will feel as though they are getting a great deal even though it's an off-brand product.
  5. Give SOME kind of idea on shipping speed. As a test I added an item to my cart and the only shipping option I was given was economy shipping and there was no mention of how long it could take. In the age of Amazon Prime customers want to know how long it is going to take to get their order.
  6. Items 2-5 that I previously mentioned all add up and tell me that you have a dropshipping store. Customers are savvy and often don't want an item drop shipped from China when they can simply go to AliExpress or Temu and do that themselves. They know you're just marking up an drop shipped item. Fix items 2-5 that I mentioned to make your store look less obviously another drop shipped item store.

I hope that helps, and good luck with your store.

Sorry, but I don't offer any services, I was just replying to help. Everything on the list I provided is pretty easy to accomplish on your own if you take some time to poke around shopify.
