Why can't I find all orders in admin search?

Hi,

When we are on the admin of several of ours clients, we cannot find every order through search, as shown in the screenshot below:

This is happening to several of our clients.
It is not for every orders but for some of them, without any apparent reason.
This means that it is also broken through API and our automations are all broken due to this error.

Does anyone else has this issue? Is Shopify team working on this?

Makes sure this isn't from orders being archived, or duplicated and the original being deleted.

The archived thing is a constant friction in the admin and in the api.

If some process is duping/deleting orders the duplicate should be given an attribute of the original orders identifying info like #number , id, etc to surface the new order in search by that original order.

Thanks Paul, I've checked regularly the Shopify status but all seems to be fine.

About the archived / duplicated orders, that's not the case here as we didn't have these type of issues before (we tried a lot of orders around the number with an issue and there are a lot).

Earlier today, Shopify received reports of some merchants experiencing issues when searching for orders within the admin. Our developers have since resolved the issue and you should now be able to search orders through the admin search bar as expected. 

Before attempting to search for orders I recommend going through the troubleshooting steps listed below.

Troubleshooting Steps: 

• Clear your cache and cookies on your browser. After this, completely reboot the browser.
• Try a different web browser, as well as incognito or private windows to rule out any browser issues. 

If you continue to experience search issues on your end, you can create a support request via the Shopify Help Center so our team can review and troubleshoot accordingly.

Thank you for your answer. We still very much have this issue with several of our customers and through API, we opened yesterday a support ticket through our partner account but without any answers yet.

I recommend following up on the ticket you've created from your partner dashboard to connect with Partner Support. Through our community forum, we are unable to authenticate accounts or review account-specific information for privacy and security reasons. Hello @Victoria 

Our Team on our admin panel facing same issue in order search. with order IDS. 

On Shopify Admin Pannel, not able to search all orders with order ID . This behaviour is for particular orders , without any apparent reason. Till now not able to figure out the reason for the same.  Although these orders are placed by customers only. 

After seeing this thread we follow the above steps told by you, but the issue still persists. 

Any clue about it?  Something broken is the Admin panel order search.  Facing lot ofissues in our daily operations work coz of this. Looking forward to a solution.

Hi @Shubha_Chaudhar,

Last friday, I created a chat discussion with Shopify support through our partner account and I finally was able to resolve the issue after waiting 50 minutes.

There is indeed an issue with some shops and the support needs to re-index your order for the search to work again. It takes until 48h to fully re-index your orders.

I suggest that you contact the support.

Earlier today, we received reports of staff members being prevented from accessing the Shopify admin. However, it looks as though the issue mentioned in this thread and the one that occurred today are unrelated. Apart from the admin issue earlier, we haven't received reports for searching orders within the admin.

Since you're still facing this issue on your end, I encourage you to create a support request from the Shopify Help Center so our team can look at your account settings and troubleshoot effectively.

I'm having this same issue.  It seems it started around April 6th.  I'm not sure what to do.  I can see the orders if I look up the customers name, but the order number is not showing anything.
