Hi, so I'm complete unable to insert link no matter if its on blog post or pages, the button is greyed out. I have tried to restart the page, do it on another device, open a private browser and on another browser but nothing works. It is impossible to insert a link. Does anyone know how I fix this?

To make sure I don't miss or misunderstand anything, is there any chance you can show me some screenshots of what it looks like when you are trying to insert links?
While I'm sure you are already following these steps, let's recap what they should look like:
Click Insert link.
Enter the destination URL for the link in the Link to field:
https://
followed by the web address, for example https://www.example.com
./collections/summer-collection
.mailto:
followed by the email address, for example mailto:example@example.com
.tel:
, followed by the phone number, for example tel:+0-123-456-7890
.Enter a short description of the link in the Link title box.
Choose how the link will open with the Open this link in menu:
Click Insert link to convert your highlighted text into a link.

Hi Olivia, I am having the same issue. I can’t get past clicking the insert link button as it is greyed out. So when clicking it nothing happens. I would attach a screenshot but it says PNG files are not accepted.
To resolve
Paste and then HIGHLIGHT the link you want to add by double clicking on it
Then you see the BUTTON working and you use it

Ah, okay the button will show as greyed out until the text is selected as mentioned by fellow user, @kserolas. This will enable the insert link option, and you can enter your desired destination.
Here is an example from before I highlight the text:

I've found a solution that worked for me, and I'd like to share it with you all:
The key is to select the text you want to turn into a link first. Here's the step-by-step process:
If your cursor is just placed in a blank space without any text selected, the "Insert link" button will remain grey and inactive.
Using this method, I was able to successfully publish my first blog post with working links.
I hope this helps anyone else who might be facing the same issue.
