Why can't I turn off my online store?

I have been trying for weeks to deactivate my store but you guys keep charging me and wont let me deactivate and I've canceled all of my subscriptions on there and paid anything that wasn't pard for yet but still wont let me deactivate it. Please stop charging me and let me close my store please.

Hi @Cory14,

 

Thank you for getting in touch. It is not possible for me to close your store for you as I cannot authenticate you over the Community. If you can still log into your store, you can close your store following these steps:

 

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Plan.
2. Click Deactivate store.
3. If applicable, then review the options to switch to the Pause and build plan, or start a new store.
4. If you still want to deactivate, then click Deactivate store.
5. Select a reason for the deactivation, and then click Continue.
6. Enter your password, and then click Deactivate now.

Ive been trying to deactivate my store as well, it wont let me.

This has to be illegal what theyre doing

Hi! What happens when you follow the steps to cancel your subscription and deactivate your Shopify store? Is there an outstanding balance? If so, it needs to be settled before the store can be closed. If there's a different error message appearing, please let us know so we can determine the next steps to take.
