I am new and on the free trial. I am also a bit upset at the moment, so please be understanding. I have spent 4+ hours creating my first store, mostly on editing my theme. I never touched the code, only adding/editing sections of the theme. It never gave me the option to hit the 'save' button in the top right, so I figured the changes were automatically saving throughout. When I noticed the theme changes were not reflecting on the store's page, I used the following troubleshooting methods:
1. I opened the store in incognito mode, it still had the default theme.
2. I messed with the code to see if there were any problems with the code, I saw no errors.
3. I cleared my cookies and cache.
When I cleared cookies and cache, it signed me out of shopify. When I signed back in, all the changes I made to the theme were gone. I am posting here because I was wondering if there was a way to find the changes I made originally somehow. While it's hard to be positive at the moment, this is pretty much the only thing I haven't tried yet, asking the community.
I was looking forward to publishing my store and paying monthly for shopify. With this poor experience, I unfortunately may have to look for other options.

I'm thinking I was signed into shopify. I have no idea why the save button was grayed out and wouldn't let me press it. Is shopify normally this way? Because right now I really don't think it's worth purchasing, for me at least. It's so unfortunate because right now I don't feel like putting in the same energy into my store as I did today.
