Why do I receive random emails?

Why do I receive multiple emails a day from people claiming to be feeelancers or with shopify. I don't see information about this from shopify I just wanted to know are these people legit or are they just taking advantage of new beginner store owners. I receive emails from people like this on a daily basis I think this is somthing shopify should be informing new store owners about.

Many freelancers / agencies scrape email addresses and spam you with advertising. As a Shopify agency, I also constantly receive advertisements that I need a freelancer for my Shopify stores. If you receive warnings or verifications that you should carry out (e.g. theme not licensed, prohibited items offered, etc.), always check the email address. As soon as they don't come from Shopify.com, ignore them.
