All things Shopify and commerce
When I adjust inventory quantity on a item, I have a drop down box to select reason for adjustment, IE-Correction, Theft/Loss, Donation ETC. How can I run a report that tells me the reason that an item was adjusted. I want to know what items were donated and theft/loss.
I was wondering the same thing! I've been searching for at LEAST an hour.
I chatted with Shopify Tuesday. I was told that she would "consult" with her team member and let me know if a report can be ran. I'll let you know if I get a response. She did say when looking at a product, you can click on the Adjustment History and it will let you know date and reason for adjustment but only for the last 3 previous months, so If it were adjusted before June, it will not show up.
I'm in the same boat. Trying to look at adjustment history to see if staff have made adjustments I might not be aware of, or if I'm lucky, turn off the option for staff to make adjustments entirely.
Still no luck.
Inventory management on Shopify is the WORST.
Any luck finding out how to run a report or get the information of items that have been adjusted as theft. This can also be used for taxes which I need.
No, of course it's just the usual "we'll submit a feature request" or, "there's an app to fix that bug or oversight on our part".
What about any of the apps? I'm using Stocky and it has an inventory adjustment report feature but you have to subscribe to the Shopify POS Pro which is an additional $89/month. Maybe another app that does this without having to upgrade?
Already paying for POS Pro for 2 stores. The stock adjustment report in Stocky shows adjustments made in Stocky using Stocky Stock Adjustments, that's it.
It's disgraceful.
It's quite a stunning oversight on the part of Shopify. I have £20,000 worth of stock disappearing every month. It is putting my company in serious jeopardy. There is no way to disable staff simply being able to steal stuff and just adjust the stock. If I disable the ability, Shopify removes the entire ability to use the till! Just as shocking, there is no way of generating a report to show me the stock adjustments. I got the same BS response from Shopify - 'We'll certainly mention it to our programmers'. Shocking.
