Why does my general shipping show 0 products and how can I fix it?

I have created shipping zones and 2 rates for every shipping zone however in the general shipping rates it shows I have 0 products, how do I fix this?

Will it prevent customers from checking out?

Thanks for posting. I hope your day is going well!

 

Based upon your screenshot, you have one general shipping profile and 5 Printful profiles. Do you have any products that aren't managed by Printful? If so, this would be expected behaviour for you to have 0 products in your General Profile. Your general profile will consist of products that aren't assigned to any other profile. 

 

If you can provide more information on if you have additional products, and if they are also being shipped via apps, that would be great!

Hi, all my products are imported from printful through the app connection.

Awesome! In that case, all of your products should be listed in the Printful Shipping Profiles when you click the expand button labelled 'Show.' If you have any additional questions please let us know!

Indeed, each of the 5 shipping zones is one for each of my products. Is there any ways I can put all products in the general shipping zone?

Hi, @animalique 

The issue of putting them into the General Shipping Profile is it may break the connection to Printful. Is there any specific reason you want them in the General Profile?

No particular reason, just so i could set up different rates than printful. The general shipping rates don't interfere with printful rates right? For example if in my general shipping rates I don't have US but in printful I do and I want to ship to the US there's no connection right? As in printful I have US as a shipping zone than that's what will be taken into account and there's no issues?

Hi, @animalique 

I do apologize, but I'm not quite understanding what you are asking regarding US rates.

That being said, your products can only be in one Shipping Profile at a time. They can't be in General Shipping and Printful. Additionally, if you don't have rates for a specific country in the profile in which your products are located, your customers from that location won't be able to checkout.  

For example, if you move your products to the General Profile and you don't set up US rates, no one from the US will be able to make a purchase as you're telling Shopify's checkout that you don't ship within the US.

As such, we don't recommend moving your products from the Printful Profile to the General Profile.
