All things Shopify and commerce
Hi I am wondering if there is a way for quantities to not show/auto generate on the live website end.
For example if our items are sold out - we don't want it showing that we still want people to order it because we are constantly getting new inventory. Or are quantities something we have to always manually adjust to make sure it doesn't show low/out of stock to customers?

Hello,
A lot of stroes have the same issue, the best scenario is to add a high value for your inventory like 100 or evern 1000 to keep based on the volume of your orders to at least be sufficient for a year, this way you will need to update the inventory on annual basis and for sure for the discontinued items if any you need to set it back to zero
Hi @caylie-gronwold 👋 Beyond adding non-existent inventory or disabling inventory control:
For some themes sold-out messaging is a setting, or a block.
If it's a setting in a template or a block then setup an alternate template with sold-out messaging features disabled.
And apply that template to the relevant products.
Or setup an automation in shopify-flow or other automation app like mechanic to swap the templates for you.
Alternatively it's an advanced theme customization to have the business logic added to a theme.
If you need this customization to improve the business for customers then contact me for services.
